The Hidden Life Retreat is a deep dive into the Gospel itself — exploring what it means to live in the fullness of what God has given us. These sessions were the foundation for the book of the same name, and bring those ideas to life in a rich, communal setting.
The retreat is organized around four aspects of God's Great GIFT:
G — Grace — God's power and desire to do good to you, undiluted by anything you do
I — Identity — discovering the amazing transformative power of the Gospel
F — Faith — learning to trust God in the seasons when life feels elusive
T — Training — practical principles for overcoming deception with God's truth
Whether you've read the book or are coming to these ideas for the first time, this retreat offers an experience of the Gospel that goes beyond information to transformation.

David Megill
David Megill is a pastor, conference speaker, and writer with a story that spans three continents. He leads Focus Church and has spent decades helping people discover that they matter to God through books that bring encouragement, hope, and laughter to the journey of faith.
Our community college's local Cru (Campus Crusade) chapter sponsored the Hidden Life Conference, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We have members from a wide variety of denominations and theological perspectives, but the practical and Biblical emphasis on grace was relevant for them all. The encouraging tone of the conference was particularly helpful as well.
The Journey is a non-denominational church in Albuquerque. We loved having David come teach the Hidden Life Conference. It was engaging and relevant to our community of believers. David is a creative communicator and has an authentic love for people. I would recommend David for all age groups.
